Spennymoor Town FC

Web Design | Social Media | Print Design | Signage

Being the big football fan that I am, when I was asked to redesign and rebuild the website of Spennymoor Town FC (STFC) I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. Now I know some of you reading this may be thinking Spenny who? So let me introduce you to the football club that is the “Pride of County Durham” – a semi-professional football club that sits in the 6th tier of English football, has achieved four promotions and eleven trophies over the past decade and are currently managed by former Salford City FC duo Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson.

After researching websites of other football clubs in both the same league as well as the leagues above, the Marketing Director for STFC has been quoted to say that the STFC website is worthy of any official EFL club, so let’s hope that one day STFC can gain promotion to the EFL and become the full-time professional football club that it deserves to be.

As part of their online presence I was also asked to create promotional artwork for the sale of season tickets via the clubs social media channels, which contributed to an increase of season ticket sales by 70% (2019/20 season). Here are some examples of artwork from past seasons.

The club has come on leaps and bounds both on and off the pitch and now boasts one of the best, if not the best, non-league matchday experiences. My graphic design skills came in handy once again when it came to giving the Brewery Field a makeover, and while working closely with Aztec Colour Printers we produced large pieces of artwork i.e. a club history time line, a legends wall as well as general signage and artwork for the fan zones and hospitality areas, transforming the football ground into the fantastic venue it is today.
